Mason was really really great – he made the vibe at our wedding exactly what we were looking for. Perfect balance of classy and fun!

We had an amazing experience using Dow Oak. Freddie was so friendly and personable, and just an awesome DJ – sound was great, and he played the songs we asked for, didn’t play the songs we didn’t want to hear, and threw in an awesome mix of his own choices that went right along with our style. Nice flow from song to song – I just kept dancing the whole night! Highly highly recommend Freddie, and really the whole Dow Oak experience was so easy. They have a great website to help plan song selection and flow of the whole day – really easy to use. We didn’t opt for lighting or any of the other extras (our ceremony/reception was pretty simple), but music location change from ceremony site to reception site was flawless. Seriously great team, great value, amazing experience!

Erik and Dow Oak were a Godsend. At the actual wedding, Erik read the crowd wonderfully and got them up and dancing whenever we wanted or whenever things were getting slow. When it came to the pacing and scheduled music everything played exactly when it was supposed to with no issues. One thing we especially liked during the reception was how Erik blended the music together. It wasn’t just a swap from one song to another but a really nice blending of songs with one bleeding into another. I’ve seen a lot of DJs just act like a glorified shuffled playlist but Erik actually worked the songs and made them lead into each other. And to top it all off, he was incredibly affordable.
I would give Erik a 15 out of 10 if possible.

So we were scrambling for a DJ last minute. Thank goodness Dow Oak Events had an opening! They did a great job of communicating and making the planning of our night easy and simple. Words can not describe how amazing they were for our wedding. The DJ was so friendly and accommodating for us. Booking a DJ turned out to be the hardest vendor! We were torn between going with a band or DJ & I was very hesitant to book a DJ. I had been to several weddings where the DJ was “off” on the music & it set a bad tone for the day. With 3 months left till the wedding, we still had not booked anything when I stumbled upon Dow Oak Events on wedding wire. I was impressed by their high reviews, the amazing prices that they offered (especially compared to every other DJ I had contacted) & the wide range of services. So I emailed Dow Oak & within 10 minutes I had a response from DJ Erik, who we ended up booking for our day! Erik was quick & responsive to all our emails & questions. We set up a meeting to go over music styles & overall aesthetic that we were aiming for.

Mason had every aspect covered from the day we signed, he honestly exceeded our expectations in every way. Our wedding had a few things pop up the day of that could have sent everything south, but, because of how prepared Mason was from the dow oak events online planning system, he was able to smooth everything over, and we have him to thank for having a PERFECT wedding!

Dow Oak Events provided an awesome reception atmosphere for our guests!! We honestly had so much fun! Our DJ was awesome and kept the party going. Our guests also really enjoyed the photobooth! Would recommend for any event!

Erik is an amazing DJ! He made the night a lot of fun. The music was awesome and he kept people out on the dance floor. He was super nice and very professional. He was fun to work with. He played all the music we wanted and was able to play most of the requests from the guests there.
